Shopify access scopes
Winback AI requests the minimum scopes needed to detect abandoned checkouts and mint discount codes:
- read_checkouts — detect abandoned checkouts and their contents
- read_customers — retrieve the phone number and email captured at checkout
- read_orders — attribute a recovered order back to the call that produced it
- read_products — describe cart contents accurately on the call
- read_discounts / write_discounts — mint and manage FuseCode discount codes
- write_pixels — the store's web pixel, used for on-site event tracking
Webhooks
- checkouts/create, checkouts/update, checkouts/delete — track abandoned checkouts as they happen
- orders/create — attribute recovered revenue
- app_subscriptions/update — keep plan and billing status in sync
- app/uninstalled — remove app access and store settings
- app/scopes_update — react if a merchant changes granted scopes
- GDPR compliance topics (customer data requests, customer redaction, shop redaction) — received by the app's compliance handlers
Data flow
An abandoned-checkout webhook arrives, the app schedules a call 5-15 minutes later (configurable), the AI places the call through our voice infrastructure, and the outcome (answered, FuseCode sent, handed off, or no answer) is logged to your dashboard. If the shopper completes an order, it's attributed back to the call.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling removes app access and store settings. The app also processes Shopify shop-redaction requests for core recovery records; see our privacy policy for current retention and deletion details.
